On Thursday, 9 May 2019, SWAN London organised a panel debate at the prestigious private club, The Reform Club on Pall Mall. The lively discussion was led by Emma Cherniavsky (SAIS 1996), Deputy CEO of the Liberal Democrats; Dana Allin (SAIS), Senior Fellow for U.S. Foreign Policy and Transatlantic Affairs at the International Institute for Strategic Studies; Andrew Whitworth (SAIS 2011), Senior Associate at the Bank of England; Georgina Wright, Senior Fellow at the Institute for Government; and Julian Jessop, an Independent Economist (and our pro-Brexit speaker). The two-hour discussion was chaired by George King IV, Partner at MASECO Private Wealth Management. An audience of 30 people debated this now-longstanding yet contemporary: the UK's exit from the European Union, "Brexit". We were also joined by the Chairwoman of the Reform Club who provided a short history of the club for the attendees.
